The School of Comparative Studies started its activities since 1989. Comparative Studies is a study of different fields of knowledge in comparison with each other. It implies comparison of all areas of human knowledge, like Comparative Religion, Comparative Aesthetics and Comparative Philosophy. |

At present this School offers comparative studies in the area of Literature. Comparative Literature means a study of literatures across languages, cultures and, geographical boundaries. It also implies a comparative study of literature in relation with other areas of human knowledge, like music, arts, culture and social sciences. This School offers M.Phil and Ph.D in these areas, where knowledge of more than one language is mandatory for the student. |
