Department of Comparative Studies

The Department of Comparative Studies came into existence in the year 1989. This University was the first to establish a Department of this nature in South India which was later emulated by other Universities.  The Department caters to the objective of imparting high level research in the fields of literature and culture, with an in-depth study in Telugu and other languages. This centre offers research programmes to promote integrated approach to literature and culture through multi-disciplinary studies.
