Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University is located in a prime central place and housed in Telugu Bhavanam Complex at Osmaia University Campus, Hyderabad, the Telugu University Library is established in the year 1985.The Library has been serving its elite readers  from two decades. It has three Campus libraries one at Srisailam, second at Rajahmundry, and  the other at Warangal. A Seminar library was also established at lalita kala Kshetram, Nampally, Hyderabad.

Library contains various titles on the subjects like Telugu language, literature, Linguistics, Fine arts, Astrology, Journalism, Culture, Folk Arts etc UGC has sanctioned Information and Library Networking (INFLIBNET) scheme to the University. With this Data-entry work in the Library of the University was started and the digitization process is progressing at a fast pace for the past two years.

The Central library has equipped with rich collection comprising of about one-lakh books among which 55,000 are Telugu, 43,000 English and 5000 of other Indian languages. It subscribes to about 150 subject journals in Telugu and English. Library is also maintaining about 10,000 back volumes of journals. In addition, the Library has acquired rare and unique collection of Palm leaves, Mackenzie manuscripts, letters of C.P Brown, microfilms of Telugu dailies Krishna patrika for 40 years (1902-1942), and Andhra patrika for 26 years (1914-1940). The Library has valuable collection of books received by donation, purchase of personal collection of elite and scholarly. As policy of collection development, the library procures all qualitative books published in and on Telugu language to develop the library as a center for Excellence in Telugu language development and promotion.

The University has an invaluable collection of books received by Donations/Purchase of personal collection of Social elites/eminent scholars as a collection development policy.
