It is a matter of great pleasure and pride for me to invite you to walk through the great portals of Potti Sreeramulu Telugu University. It is the most special university for Telugu people touching upon their cultural and linguistic needs. It is well known for imparting higher education in traditional, dance, literature, history, language, fine arts with special recognition and cultural standards. It is named after “Amarajevi” Pottisreeramulu who has laid down his life for the formation of Telugu state. |

This university is the brain child of former Chief Minister, Dr N.T.Rama Rao. Established on December 2nd 1985, PSTU is located in the historic city of Hyderabad. Another four constituent centers of the university located in Andhr Pradesh are Nannyya Sahitya Pitam-Rajamandry, Sri Siddhendra Yogi Kala Pitam-Kuchipudi, School of History, Culture and Archaeology-Srisailam and School of Folk and Triballore-Warangal. It provides quality training, teaching and research leading to diplomas, master and doctoral degrees in innovative and traditional courses. The university’s mission is to promote a dynamic mindset in the field of higher learning and research apart from protecting Andhra folk, tradition, culture, literature and mother language. |

My university has hired high quality faculty to train and impart skills for the students seeking admissions in our institution. We are also committed for providing social justice as well as giving special attention to towards students coming from and rural and backward areas. We are offering innovative and need based courses like Telugu, journalism, History, dance, Fine Arts, Jyotisham, Performing Arts, Social Science, Folk and Comparative Studies. Another major event we have taken up in the year 2006 is International Kuchipudi Dance Festival to be organized from 22nd to 26th December. Renowned artistes from all over the world will be participating in this mega event. |
