The Eastern Chalukyan Emperor of Vengi Gunaga Vijayaditya conquered the Rastrakutas and received the Royal insignia. It was during his time that Telugu language got the patronage. A poem written in the metre of Taruvoja and a few prose lines in the inscription of Addnaki by Pandaranga were proof of the statues of Telugu language in those days.
