Jayapa was a multifaceted genius who also served Kakatiya dynasty as the most trusted military chief. He wrote a treatise on dance in Sanskrit entitled ‘Nrutta Ratnavali’.  In the famous Ramappa temple near Warangal in various cultural panels his treatise was demonstrated in different forms.  It is also said that he taught the art of dance to some there itself.
