He was Nawab of Golkonda (1682-1697A.D.). He witnessed a dance performance of local artists while camping at Kuchipudi in Krishna District. He was overwhelmed by their presentational skills, felt proud about his subjects and gifted away Kuchipudi village as an endowment to the Kuchipudi dancers.
